An important day

Someone just hit another milestone: Sam is ten months old today!

Can I just tell you how much I love ten month olds?! They are so fun!! And funny. Do we love their crazy expressive faces?

With teeth?!! Uhh, where's my newborn?

Crawling...and getting faster by the day!

I know...his hair. I will eventually cut it. Just not yet.

Still chubby, still nursing, still cuddly.

Ten months and glorious!

The Fellowship

Arwen (18): My brilliant and adorable eldest child, who is far too like me to avoid butting heads. I love my precious daughter more than words can tell, and I'm savoring every last minute of her final year before college. Can you tell it's going to be hard for me to let her go? (sniff!) Truth: she's on the cusp of adulthood and I'm so proud of all she is.

Aragorn (16): My hunky eldest son is rivaling his dad in shoulder width. I'm resigned to having a child that is officially inches taller than I am. Baseball pitcher and clutch hitter, Aragorn has hidden depth and intellectual talent that he himself isn't fully convinced is there yet (but it most certainly is!)

Gimli (14): Witty and quick, Gimli smiles with deep dimples and a twinkle in his black-brown eyes. He is a stealth athlete, with a mind for the game. Gimli plays baseball and helps his Dad coach, but I might be most proud of how he has distinguished himself on the golf course. My day is made brighter when Gimli asks for his hugs or tells me that I have a nice outfit on! Sweet sweet boy.

Galadriel (13): my second daughter is about to become the FOURTH teen in the house! Luckily, I LOVE teens!! Galadriel pulls me out of trouble on the daily: doing dishes, cleaning, and helping her siblings. Galadriel has become the musical one in the family, singing in choir and playing the piano. She loves to read, loves friends and staying on top of her schoolwork. In her free-time she texts Arwen to take her out for coffee!

Bilbo (11): a very independent blue-eyed boy with freckles. All bets are that Bilbo will be the biggest of our sons. He has out grown Galadriel and out weighs Gimli. Bilbo is a die-hard fisherman, is the neighborhood dog-walker, and has become this family's chief baker. The hardest thing about Bilbo is keeping up with him and all of his interests!

Rosie Cotton (9): Rosie is a rather sophisticated little 9-year-old who is always up for fun and loves to be on the go. Rosie is another avid reader in the family. She has joined Galadriel in the church choir this year, and added violin lessons too. Rosie loves ballet, wins all of the family board game competitions, and has the most contagious laugh!

Legolas (7): Legolas' claim to fame is having entered this world in record time, requiring his daddy to deliver him unattended! Legolas is the smallest built of our children, but is tough as nails and an awesome athlete. He is the impersonation of "small but mighty". Legolas is definitely a light to our home.

Eowyn (6): Sparkly and sweet and everything the baby girl in the family should be. Eowyn is surprisingly strong-willed, joyful, and loving. She is as whimsical as her slightly mis-matched, shining brown eyes.

Philomena: Born to eternal life on the eve of the Queenship of Mary. August 21, 2015.

Sam Gamgee (3): born on the 4th of July, with red hair and blue eyes! We love Sam. Everything he does is the most darling thing we've ever seen. All of us--that's 8 older siblings, and his parents--dote on him. He's probably spoiled, but if he is, we wouldn't notice: he's the baby!!
