"When we had our children, our ideas changed somewhat. Thenceforward we lived only for them; they made all our happiness and we would never have found it save in them. In fact, nothing any longer cost us anything; the world was no longer a burden to us. As for me, my children were my great compensation, so that I wished to have many in order to bring them up for Heaven" -- Saint Zelie Martin, mother of St. Therese of Lisieux, canonized October 18, 2015 along with her husband St. Louis Martin.

Summer, a little catch-up

Not a birthday cake.  Legolas passed Swimming Lessons Level 1 (one).  Why are we so pumped?  Well, he is Seven, and he took Level 1 three (3) times.  What was the hang up?  Back float! One day Legolas came home shouting that he could float!  We were so happy that I promised a celebration if he passed.   Thank you to Galadriel for making the Strawberry Shortcake!

And while he was at it, he lost his front teeth!

Bilbo couldn't take it any longer, he had to share his love of fishing with his youngest brother and sister.  Aragorn was kind enough to supervise (Bilbo is only 11) the fishing trip, and Eowyn and Sam both made their first (few) catch (es)!

Just like that, baseball is...

(walk)

over for the summer.  Super proud as usual of my boys and hubby for coaching.

Sam is...Zorro (of course).   I suppose my gardening hat will work, why not?!

 Wilma, just because.
